Detailed Itinerary

Day 1.arrival and transfer to Nyungwe forest

Our tour guide will meet you at the airport upon arrival and transfer you to Nyungwe national park. Check in your lodge for dinner and overnight stay

Day 2. Chimpanzee tracking

After your early morning breakfast you will meet your safari guide who will drive you to the park quarters for briefing and registration before tracking.Nyungwe forest hosts other unique primate like Angolamonkeys, Redtailed monkeys, velvet monkeys, grey checked mangabeys, golden monkeys among others which you will be able to stop on your way.in the company of well trained and versed rangers who will help you spot as well answer all your concerns.

Day 3. canopy walk-transfer to volcanoes national park

After your morning breakfastyou will check out of the lodge as your guide drive you to uwinka visitors center for a 2 hour canopy walk where you will see the beauty of the forest and be able to spot the golden monkeys, a variety of bird species, later transfer to volcanoes national park connecting through kibuye to Ruhengeri in the northern province. You will reach in the evening, check in your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4.Gorilla tracking – iby’iwacu village

After your early morning breakfast your safari guide will drive you to kinigi park quarters for briefing at 7:30 am before the gorilla expedition which starts at 8:00 am, you will be guided by the rangers who escort your to the jungle, maximum time with the gorillas is one hour where you will take pictures as many as well as ask questions to the guides. Return to the lodge for lunch and relax, in the evening you will visit ibyiwachu village for the cultural experience of the rich Rwanda culture. Dinner and overnight at your hotel.

Day 5. Transfer to Akagera national park After

breakfast you will get on the road off to akagera national park, you will reach in the afternoon have lunch and later participate in the afternoon game drive. Expect to see buffaloes, crocodiles, hippos, numerous water birds among others. Overnight stay at Akagera Safari Lodge

Day 6. Game drive -boat ride at Lake Ihema

In the morning after your breakfast you will head for the massive game drive, you will encounter the Big Five including the Hippos, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, warthogs, waterbucks and different antelope species. Return to the lodge for lunch and in the evening head to Lake Ihema for the evening boat ride and relax on the fresh water body. Dinner and overnight stay at Akagera Safari Lodge.

Day 7.transfer to Kigali

Wake up at your pace have breakfast and get back on the road to Kigali city, have a city tour visit kimiriko market, kicukiro market shop a few souvenirs and your guide will drop you off at the airport for departure.
